These striking, picturesque cloths come from the area around Korhogo, an agricultural and market town in the north of Côte d'Ivoire.

The cloth itself is made up of hand-spun, hand-woven cotton strips, sewn together to make a whole cloth. The artists paint onto the surface of the unbleached cloth using a sludgy, decayed mud and natural vegetable dyes. Their traditional designs include highly stylised figures of animals, birds, fish and people.

Korhogo cloths are ideal as wallhangings. Or, if you're a creative stitcher, you can use Korhogo to make your own fashion items, such as jackets, coats, waistcoats, bags, etc.

Every Cloth Unique
Each cloth is a unique, artistic creation, so I have only one of each specific, numbered cloth shown below.

There are two sizes. The larger cloths are usually about 185 x 116 cm / 73 x 45 ins. The smaller cloths are about 122 x 75 cm / 48 x 29 ins.
