What's a Fat Quarter...

Fat Quarters - Half metres - By the metre
You can order most fabrics by the Fat Quarter, Half metre or by the metre.

However, some of my fabrics are only made in small quantities - especially the Gambian Collection. These are often only available in Fat Quarters or Half metres. Check the information by the swatches on fabric pages.

Ordering by the metre
If you are really taken by a particular fabric and want to order a length - say a metre or more, please check with me first about availability. Please note that as the Hand dyed Batiks are all handmade no two pieces are exactly the same.

Paying by Cheque
You can open and print an Order Form using the Word Order Form link below. Then, just fill in the form and send it to me by post - along with your cheque of course!

I will try to post your fabric first class on the day I receive your order.

Paying by Credit Card
I am able to take payment by credit card from UK customers.

Minimum Credit Card Order
Due to charges, the minimum credit card order is £10.

All fabrics sent First Class unless otherwise specified. Post and packing depends on the total value of your order.

Paying by Credit Card - It's this easy...

I accept credit card payment using the Paypal system. You can pay in US dollars, Canadian dollars, Euros and Yen.

1. To pay via your credit card in these currencies, you'll need to join the free online, secure payment system called Paypal. If you are not already a member, Click on the Paypal logo on the left or go to: www.paypal.com and follow the on-screen joining instructions.
2. To order, e-mail a list of what you would like to: magie@africanfabric.co.uk
3. In your e-mail order please specify: Name of fabric and quantity (Fat Quarter, Half Metre, Metre or Adventure Pack). Also, your full postal address.
4. I'll check the postage and e-mail back to you with the full amount.
5. When you receive my e-mail with the full amount: Click the Paypal logo on the left or go to: www.paypal.com and follow the on-screen secure payment instructions.
6. Paypal will notify me as soon as you have made your credit card payment.
7. I will post your fabric straightaway.

For orders from outside the UK

When you tell me what quantity of fabric you want, I will check the postage rates and let you know the total cost of your fabrics - including postage.

For orders shipped outside the EU:

• Any duty or VAT that may be levied in the destination country is the sole responsibility of the recipient.
• The declared value on the customs declaration will be the true value of the goods.

If you are not satisfied with your order, you may return your goods to me for a full refund. When returning goods, the customer must pay the shipping costs. Refunds will only be made after the goods are received and when the goods are unused and undamaged. Goods for refund must be returned within 14 days of the original shipping date.

Refunds up to GBP20 or USD30, inclusive:

• Payment by debit or credit card - Credit note issued against future purchase.
• Payment by Paypal - Credit note issued against future purchase.
• Payment by cheque - Credit note issued against future purchase.

Refunds more than GBP20 or USD30:

• Payment by debit or credit card - Credit to your card account.
• Payment by Paypal - Credit to your Paypal account.
• Payment by cheque - Refund by cheque.
