Traditional tree cotton strip cloth, handwoven in Basse, The Gambia.
Tree cotton grows on the 'silk cotton' tree, part of the kapok family. Because of its short staple, it's difficult to spin into a yarn. For this reason, this cloth is a blend of handspun tree cotton weft with machine spun cotton warp.
Plain, undyed and unbleached.
